THRILLA IN MANILA 1975 - PHILIPPINES SPORTS WORLD WEEKLY

Original local Philippines sporting weekly newspaper called Sports World, covering the week September 27th to October 3rd 1975. The issue is largely taken up with the forthcoming super fight between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier, billed "The Thrilla in Manila", which took place on October 1st. Includes full colour posters of both fighters to centre spread. There is some other sporting content but the majority is boxing related. 

34 x 25cm. 48pp. Light central fold. Some creasing to top edges. Good condition. This was brought back from the fight by the boxing journalist Sydney Hulls, who was reporting for the Daily Express.
