VICTORY TESTS 25TH ANNIVERSARY DINNER 1970 - SIGNED TABLE MAT

A dinner mat (showing Marble Arch) which was used at the 25th anniversary dinner of the Victory Tests, held at Australia House on August 27th, 1970. Many of the English and Australian players who particpated in the 1945 "Test" match series were present. The mat belonged to the Middlesex and England batsman Jack Robertson and he must have collected the autographs on the day. 

22 x 22cm. Signed to the reverse in ink by Gubby Allen, Keith Miller, Cec Pepper, Len Hutton, Alec Bedser, Jack Robertson, Eric Bedser, Denis Compton, Laurie Fishlock, Learie Constantine, Bob Cristiani, Jim Workman, C.B. "Bertie" Clarke, E.M Wellings and Boswell - possibly Cecil Boswell of Essex. Lightly rubbed, but the autographs are still in very good condition. From the collection of J.D. Robertson. Sadly Jim Workman passed away only a few months after this dinner.
