Album page. Signed by the full West Indian team that played the first Test match against England at Bridgetown, January 21-26, 1948. These were Headley, Goddard, Williams, Jones, Christiani, Walcott, Ferguson, Weekes, Gaskin, Gomez and Stollmeyer. Signed to the reverse by the full Barbadian team that played England the previous week - Goddard, Carew, Weekes, Clyde Walcott, Farmer, Marshall, Hoad, EAV Williams, Taylor, Lucas and CB Williams. Also signed by Keith Walcott, who may have been 12th man that day.

The match was drawn and is most significant as the debut of three great cricketers, among many others who debuted that day, - Clyde Walcott, Everton Weekes and Jim Laker. The autographs were collected by the England opening batsman Jack Robertson, who was their top scorer in the match.

14 x 10.5cm. Short tear to lower edge, nowhere near the autographs. Very good condition.
