On October 19th, 1906, a purely amateur MCC team set sail from Tilbury Docks, bound for New Zealand. The touring party comprised the following: Capt. E.G. Wynyard, G.T. Branston, W.B. Burns, W.J.H. Curwen, C.E. De Trafford, J.W.H.T. Douglas, R.H. Fox, W.P. Harrison, P.R. May, P.R. Johnson, C.C. Page, G.H. Simpson-Hayward, A.A. Torrens, and N.C. Tufnell. Of 16 matches played, 10 were won, 2 lost, and 4 left drawn. Also includes biographies of the MCC team, and " A Short History of New Zealand Cricket" by John F. Macpherson.

1st edition. 8vo. viii + 133pp. 28 plates. Internally good, clean and bright. In the original green cloth, a little tanned and rubbed to edges. Good condition. This copy was from the famed K.A. Auty Cricket Library in Ontario, with neat stamp to fly-leaf.
