SIGNED

Widely acclaimed cricket autobiography with wider reflections on the game from the former Hampshire captain and leading broadcaster, featuring colour illustrations.

8vo. 420pp. Dust-wrapper. Very good condition. Signed and dedicated by Nicholas (to title-page) to John Woodcock "with thanks for the inspiration and for setting me straight! (see page 111)". Nicholas is referring to an incident in a match against Pakistan when he refused to walk and was controversially reinstated. After the match John Woodcock was extremely critical of Nicholas and, during a lengthy conversation between the two, reminded Nicholas of his responsibilities to the greater game.
