Programme for the Fete Bazaar held by Basingstoke Cricket Club on August 14th, 1877, including a cricket match between the Club and Mr. Godfray's team. The home team was captained by Captain John May, later Colonel May, and the author of "Cricket in North Hants", published in 1906. He gave the cricket ground to the town in 1880, and it is still called "May's Bounty". The orignal pavilion was built in 1877 so this bazaar may have been held to raise funds for the new building. Also lists all the stalls, programme of music, stewards for the day and the full teams for the 12-a-side match.

12mo. 8pp. Lightly marked but still in very good condition. An important early piece of Hampshire cricket memorabilia.
