An account of the development of racing is followed by a study of the horses, owners, trainers and jockeys of the present (1906). An international section is also included. Compiled by The Sporting Life.

First Edition. Folio (38 x 28cms). xii + 501pp. Frontis + 112 photogravures + b/w illustrations in text, marbled endpapers, bound in contemporary black morocco, sl. rubbed. Neat owner's inscription, minor marking on title page. A few small marks inside, otherwise a clean copy.
