Oval, August 14-16, 1899. Match drawn. England scored an amazing 435 for 4 on the first day, including centuries for Jackson and Hayward, from which point on they were always pushing for victory. Dogged batting by Gregory and Noble kept England out, despite Lockwood's 7 wickets in the first innings.
15 x 11cm. Partly completed in pencil. Fixtures at The Oval printed to reverse. 2.5cm tear in top edge and a few smaller ones down the sides. Further light creasing and very grubby throughout. Printing still clear. Poor.
