Lord's, July 13 - 15, 1949. Players won by 4 wickets. They collapsed to 69 for 6 chasing victory but Jenkins and Evans added an unbroken 70 to see them home. After being dismissed for 105 in the first innings (Hollies 5 for 32), the Gentlemen made a fight of it, Brown taking 8 for 151 in the match.
