Edited by Charles Alcock. Thirteenth and fourteenth years of issue, covering the 1883 and 1884 seasons. Known as the "Red Lilly", this annual was the last of three annuals published by the Lillywhites, the others being the Companion and the Guide. It lasted for 29 editions between 1872 and 1900, with two issues of 1872. From 1885 onwards the Annual incorporated John Lillywhite's Cricketer's Companion.

Small 8vo. Both volumes bound together in red boards (without original covers) with gilt title to spine. Spine is a little sunned. Plate of the Surrey XI in 1883 and the Nottinghamshire XI of 1884 tipped-in opposite the title-pages. A good copy.  [Padwick, 1087]
