Twenty-sixth year of issue, covering the 1896 season. Known as the "Red Lilly", this annual was the last of three annuals published by the Lillywhites, the others being the Companion and the Guide. It lasted for 29 editions between 1872 and 1900, with two issues for 1872. From 1885 onwards the Annual incorporated John Lillywhite's Cricketer's Companion.

Small 8vo. [xv] + 6-295pp + [2] + xxx + [3]. Original orange printed cloth covers, stained and darkened to edges and spine. Portrait plate of Ranjitsinhji is present but loose. Fair/good condition.
