NATIONAL SPORTING CLUB 1937 BOXING PROGRAMME (EMPRESS STADIUM, EARL'S COURT) - INCLUDING DALY V ODWELL AND CORBETT V MURDOCH

Official boxing programme for the bouts held at the Empress Stadium, Earl's Court, on January 25th, 1937. The bouts included George Daly v George Odwell and Dick Corbett v Billy Murdoch.

This programme belonged to the prominent Communist journalist George Sinfield when he was Sports Editor of the Daily Worker. Contains his pencil notes to the centre pages with further more detailed notes about the fights slipped in. The staples have rusted and are now removed. Good condition.
