Covers rubbed, particularly to edges, with some losses to marbling front and rear. Minor foxing to some pages. A good and important copy. Signed and dated by the author to endpapers, the book is from the collection of the prominent physician and Etonian F. Manley Sims and has his bookplate to inside cover. Sims's own notes in pen are to endpapers and occasionally to text.
