Offical scorecard from the match played at the Central Cricket Ground in Hastings. Compton scored 101 for the South, his 17th Century of the season, breaking Hobbs' record. The match was interrupted for several minutes as the crowd and players congratulated him. Compton scored one further century that year and his aggregate of 3816 runs and 18 centuries (6 of them against the tourists) are still records for an English first-class cricket season. Signed in ink by Compton across the front.
