Helen Newington Wills Roark (1905-98) won 31 Grand Slam titles including seven US Open singles titles and eight Wimbledon singles titles during the 1920s and 30s. She typically wore a white sailor suit with a pleated knee-length skirt, white shoes, and a white visor.

First Edition. 8vo. x + 214pp. Photographic frontis., 22 illustations, 11 plates. Binding is a little weak with gutter exposed between frontispiece and tite-page. Dust-wrapper, very good.
