THE FIRST FOUR MINUTE MILE 1954 OFFICIAL PROGRAMME

Original programme for the athletics meeting between the Oxford University Athletics Club and the A.A.A. , held at Iffley Road Athletic Ground on May 6th, 1954. The occasion is, of course, famous for Roger Bannister breaking the 4 minute barrier for the mile, the first time that this feat was achieved.
