Original hand-coloured etching showing a magistrate thwarted in his attempt to break-up a game of Bumble Puppy, the newly devised bowling game which sat outside the laws banning listed sports and pastimes.

24.5 x 31.5cms (including mount). Trimmed inside plate-mark and pasted onto board. Slight discolouration to paper otherwise colours good.
