The first stand alone history of the recently established Davis Cup. The first four chapters are taken from Myers' earlier book from 1908 "The Complete Lawn Tennis Player" with the rest of the book bringing the story of the Davis Cup up to date. Covers the great ties with much emphasis on the British and the USA teams. The book is illustrated with several portraits of great players.

Small 8vo. 103pp. Original green boards with silver emblem of the Davis Cup to front. 1.5cm loss to head of spine, but otherwise in very good condition. With a gift inscription from Thora Wallis Myers, the author's daughter (to friends in Guildford) to fly-leaf, dated 1985.
