The author was a famous American tennis coach whose pupils included Ellsworth Vines, Clifford Sutter and Wilmer Allison. He coached at Tulane University, the Beverly Hills Tennis Club and at Princeton.

First Edition. 8vo. xii + 170pp + [2] Frontispiece, 15 plates. Numerous diagrams and charts in the text. Owner's name to fly-leaf. Dust-wrapper, edges rubbed and chipped, with small piece missing from head of spine. A good copy.
