Oval, Sept 11 - 14, 1926. Rest of England won by 374 runs. After a close fight on first innings, during which Hendren scored a hundred and Tate took a hat trick for the Rest, Lancashire crumbled. Hobbs and Sutcliffe put on 162, the latter and Woolley scoring big centuries, and Stevens took 6 for 52 as the Champion County subsided.
